The turning point for Victoria yesterday was the arrival at the hospital of her sister Alexandra ...
and Aunty Allison and Jade, who have been doing a sterling job back at the house.
Until their visit, Victoria had no interest in eating, drinking or taking her medicine. And there were certainly no smiles!
The love of family can do amazing things.
Later in the evening the wonderful Starlight Foundation volunteer that has been assigned to our family visited Victoria.
Debra-lee has played a key role in the planning Victoria's wish and helping us get prepared. A friend of hers gave Victoria the blow-up penguin just to help us get into the 'snow mood' a bit more.
Please pray that Victoria will remain well for the next 3 weeks whilst we prepare for the wish, and experience the wish. After a bit of reading last night I found out that the week we are at Mt.Buller is Christmas week, so there are numerous extra activities going on there. What a blessing!
Once again these past three days have been a strong reminder that wrapping myself in God's word is key to mentally getting through the difficult times .... Deuteronomy 8:3
And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your father know that He might make you recognize and personally know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
Thank you again to everyone who has been praying for Victoria and our family. We appreciate your faithfulness more than I can say.
